- Head Detective, Damon Wayans on the TV show In Living Color portrays a police detective who, due to a horrific accident, is merely a head attached to a pair of feet and tiny hands.

- Joseph Trumpeldor, Russian soldier and Zionist pioneer in Palestine. Lost his left arm in battle during the Russo-Japanese War.
