This is a list of cameo appearances.
In film
One of the earliest cameo appearances in film history is that of Erik Satie and his artist friends in the silent movie Entr'acte (1924, see below).It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World included cameos by Jim Backus, Jack Benny, Sterling Holloway, Buster Keaton, Don Knotts, Jerry Lewis, and the Three Stooges.

- Sonic appears as the umpire in Tennis for the Sega Game Gear
- The Magic Kingdom appears as the background of the Cosmic Casino level in Sonic Advance
- Flicky from the Genesis game Flicky appeared several times in the Sonic the Hedgehog series
- Ash Ketchum from the Pokémon anime series makes a cameo in the intro in Super Smash Bros. (N64)
- Mario appears on a picture on one of the walls in '. Similarly, Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi appear in pictures in '
- In SimCity for SNES, Bowser is a natural disaster, you can get Mario Statues for accomplishing some goals and the Freeland landscape is in the shape of Mario's face.
- A large portrait of fellow platformers Jak and Daxter can be found in Clank's apartment in
- Mario and Yoshi appear as small statuettes on top of a computer in the computer room in
