The province of Ontario, in Canada, has two types of colleges: Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology and Institutes of Technology and Advanced Learning. Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology offer both Ontario College Diploma (OCD) and Ontario College Advanced Diploma (OCAD) programs or two years and three years in length, respectively. Some courses of study lead to official certifications in skilled trades that are regulated by professional associations. Institutes of Technology and Advanced Learning offer a limited number of degree programs, either in conjunction with a nearby university or on their own.

Most of these colleges were founded in 1967, when the provincial government felt a strong need for this level of study.

They are listed below by their short name, along with the city where their main campus is located. Institutes are marked with a *.

Colleges marked with a † are French language schools.

One francophone college, Toronto's Collège des Grands-Lacs, ceased operations in 2002.
