Governors of the Upper Plantation of New Hampshire
In 1631, the first governor of the province of the Upper Plantation of New Hampshire was appointed, comprising modern-day Dover, Durham, and Stratham. In 1641 the Upper Plantation of New Hampshire agreed to join with the Massachusetts Bay Colony.
