This is a list of some of the mountains in the state of New Hampshire, including those in the White Mountains range that covers about a quarter of the state. Those with an asterisk (*) are the ones that are recognized by the Appalachian Mountain Club in its list of "4000 Footers". Many peaks higher than 4,000 feet are excluded from club recognition because they are not considered to have significant geographic prominence, such as Mount Clay, a 5,532-foot peak to the north of Mount Washington (see criteria for club listing).
