National regions

From west to east, Canadian provinces and territories are normally grouped into the following regions:

• Western Canada

*British Columbia

*Prairies

Central Canada

*Quebec

Atlantic Canada

*Maritimes

:*New Brunswick

:*Prince Edward Island

Additionally, Central Canada and Atlantic Canada are sometimes grouped together as Eastern Canada.
