This is an old site of an Indian village. The place was supposedly visited by Hernando de Soto, and evidence of his (or Tristán de Luna y Arellano's) visit were found near McGee Bend on the Coosa River.

An early Missionary Station existed there, and the city retained the name "Missionary Station" on many maps. The location of the City is near Coosa, Georgia on Georgia 20 - turn left on GA 100 south, go across the river and take the first right. That will drive through the remaining buildings of Livingston.
