Llansamlet is the name of an electoral ward, a community and a suburb in the City and County of Swansea, South Wales.

The electoral ward consists of some or all of the following areas: Birchgrove, Glais, Heol Las, Llansamlet, Morriston, Peniel Green, Pentre-Dwr, Talycoppa and Trallwn and Winsh-wen in the parliamentary constituency of Swansea East. The ward is bounded by Clydach to the north, Morriston to the west, Neath Port Talbot county borough to the east, and Bon-y-maen to the south.

The suburb of Llansamlet is the area where part of the Swansea Enterprise Park is located. Su Pollard and Ruth Madoc, both stars of the TV show Hi-De-Hi! grew up here. The suburb has a large open moorland to the south where a large Asda store was once located. The moorland area has seen much new housing being developed there over the last decade.

Trallwn is a suburb to the east of the ward comprising a large housing estate and a local comprehensive school. Just to the south of Trallwn is Pentre Dwr, a predominantly farming and rural area. There are a number of horse riding schools here.

Winsh-Wen is located to the south west of the ward. It comprises mainly residential housing. It also has a small industrial estate, which is also know simply as Winsh-Wen. Located in the industrial estate are a number of factories and warehouses.
