Lord Capulet

Lord Capulet is Juliet's father. He is a stubborn old man and sometimes has a bad temper. He loves his only daughter very much and wants the best for her. He is Tybalt's uncle.
Although Juliet is his only surviving child, Capulet can be very harsh with her and disrespects her wishes in spite of his initial concern for her wellbeing. He is protrayed as a man with a lack of morals. His violent outburst against Juliet makes him repulsive to the reader. He is clearly meant to contrast with te purity and strength of his daughter.
