Lord Moran

Wilson, Charles McMoran, Lord Moran of Manton (1882-1977) is most famous for being Sir Winston Churchill's personal physician. He saved his life in 1943, but the story then became that Alexander Fleming saved the Premier's life. He was made Baron Moran in 1943.
He Dean of St Mary's Hospital Medical School between 1920 and 1945, where he oversaw the rebuilding of the premises. He was a prominent scientist in his day, and was elected President of the Royal College of Physicians in April 1941.
