Formed in 1984, Los Cruzados were a rock band from Los Angeles, California. Los Cruzados was formed by Tito Larriva and the members of The Plugz. Where the Plugz were punk, Los Cruzados were a bluesier and more introspective Chicano rock band.

In early 1987, the lineup changed for the album After Dark: They disbanded in 1987. After the band ended, Larriva continued to form the band Tito & Tarantula, which Hufsteter joined in 2002 after contributing to the band's songs as a writer and session musician for several years. Marsico co-wrote Tito & Tarantula's song "Back To The House That Love Built" with Larriva and Charlie Midnight, which was later featured on the band's album Tarantism and the soundtrack to the film Desperado. In 1991, Quintana became a the drummer of The JuJu Hounds.
