Loviisa (IPA: [ˈloviːsa], Swedish: Lovisa) is a municipality and town of 7,417 inhabitants (2004-12-31) on the Southern coast of Finland. About 40% of the population is Swedish-speaking.

The municipality encompasses 44.47 km² (excluding sea) of which 0.02 km² is inland water. Population density is 166.86 inhabitants/km².

Lovisa was founded in 1745, as a border fortress against Russia. Most of the fortifications have been preserved. It is named after Lovisa Ulrika, the Swedish Queen consort of Adolf Frederick of Sweden.

Two of the four operating nuclear power plants in Finland are located in Loviisa.
