Low-Life

Low-life is a general term describing people who are considered sub-standard by their community in general. Examples of people who are usually called "low lives" are drug addicts, drug dealers, pimps, slumlords and corrupt officials or authority figures. It is not generally used to describe people with low incomes or who live in poor conditions. This usage of the word dates to 1911
