Lunarstudio

Encyclopedia : L : LU : LUN : Lunarstudio

LunarStudio was established by Charles Leo in January 2000 as a Medford-based architectural rendering and 3D computer graphics company that focuses on architectural renderings and 3d-based artwork.

History

In November, 2000, LunarStudio formed from the independent artwork of artist Charles Leo. Over the following years, LunarStudio produced a variety of illustration styles mainly for popular publications and the World Wide Web. As the artistic style of LunarStudio continued to develop, LunarStudio eventually branched into the technical areas or 3D computer graphics and architectural rendering.

Perhaps the most significant progress in their visualization was the eventual incorporation of global illumination, radiosity, and high dynamic range imaging into their artwork. This marked a move from cartoon-like artistic rendering to photorealistic imagery.

LunarStudio continues to evolve technically, with their latest renderings and illustrations incorporating linear workflow methodology and Vray renderer's advanced sun/sky radiosity systems.
