M'alayah

The M'alayah is a kind of dance common in the UAE among people of Persian origin, and among people of other Persian Gulf countries. It is known as a dance for gays, with humourous lyrics which refer a lot to homosexuality. Due to local intolerance of gay activity, this dance was banned in public and is just practiced in narrow circles.
