M-91 (Michigan highway)

M-91 is a largely north-south state highway in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. It runs from Belding to south of Lakeview. Its 24-mile length exists entirely within Ionia County and Montcalm County. It is all undivided surface route. Aside from the two Michigan state highways that are its termini, it has only one other interstection with any Michigan state highway, and that is with M-57 in Greenville, Michigan. Aside from the towns along its way it serves inland resorts used heavily by people from Grand Rapids.
- Historical notes: M-91 originally began at what was originally US 16 and went to Lakeview. In the 1930's, all of M-91 was originally part of M-66, and during that same time, M-91 was designated from Rogers City to or into Cheboygan along the Lake Huron shore. It became part of US 23 in or about 1940.
