The M18 is a motorway in Yorkshire, England. It runs north east from junction 32 of the M1 motorway just east of Sheffield, then passes east of Rotherham and Doncaster to finish at junction 35 of the M62 motorway, just west of Goole. It meets the A1(M) at junction 2 (A1(M) junction 35). The three-lane Sheffield-Doncaster section opened in November 1967.

Much of the M18 is a two lane dual carriagway, and carries relatively low volumes of traffic. However, the section linking the M1 and A1 is much busier and has three lanes in each direction. The only major interchange is that with the A1(M), known as the Wadworth Interchange. For twelve years, this was the terminus of the M18, then the impressive [Wadworth Viaduct] was built in February 1979. The roundabout design was used probably to save money and at that time it was not known when the next section would be built. If it was built anew today, a free-flowing design would have been chosen instead, to avoid predictable hold-ups, as would the roundabout interchange with the M180. The section from here to the M180, passing Armthorpe, crosses the East Coast Main Line, and a large colliery can be seen to the south at Rossington.

The M180 motorway leaves the M18 at junction 5.
