MBTA Crosstown Buses
Encyclopedia : M : MB : MBT : MBTA Crosstown Buses
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority operates three crosstown bus routes in the Boston, Massachusetts area, CT1, CT2 and CT3, intended as limited-stop buses connecting major points. All crosstown buses have bicycle racks and offer free transfers to and from the subway. They only run weekdays.
The CT buses are envisioned as a first phase in a gradual improvement in circumferential service connecting the "spokes" of the Metro Boston rapid transit system, planned to culminate in the Urban Ring.
