MacRobertson's

MacRobertson's was the name of a company that produced chocolates and other sweets in Australia. The company was founded by Sir Macpherson Robertson and takes its name from a combination of his first and last name. The company was based for over 100 years in Fitzroy, but later moved to Ringwood, Victoria. Following Macpherson Robertson's death in 1965, his heirs sold the company to Cadbury Schweppes, who continue to produce many of the company's products. Surviving Macrobertson lines include Cherry Ripe, Old Gold, Freddo Frog, Cadbury Snack and Bertie Beetle. Cadbury continues to operate the company's factory in Ringwood. The company's distinctive logo still appeared on the Cherry ripe wrapper as late as the mid-1990's.
