Gameplay
The second game release from the Singaporean publisher/developer Boomzap Pte. Ltd.. Designed to appeal to players of games like collapse, tetris, and other matching/strategy puzzle games. Has three modes: Perfect, Puzzle, and Panic. Perfect mode allows the player to take as long as they want but limits the player to a certian number of moves per game. Puzzle mode challenges the player to clear all of the lanterns from the screen without leaving any remaining. Panic mode allows the player endless moves, but limited time, adding time for each high scoring move. A "quest mode" allows rthe player to tour Japan while playing each of the different modes.
A rarity among mainstream casual games, Magic Lanterns comes with a full editor and community package, allowing players to make and swap lavels online.
