Maiesiophilia

Encyclopedia : M : MA : MAI : Maiesiophilia

Maiesiophilia (or Maieusiophilia) is the sexual fetish for pregnant women and/or childbirth. See Pregnancy fetishism.

On occasion the fetish is not contained to humans, as some childbirth fetishists are similarly aroused by images of animals giving birth, maternity clothes, baby showers, and eggs. A potential cause of maiesiophilia is the lack of a mother figure in the fetishist's life although this theory is not universally accepted and does not explain why many people lackinng a mother figure do not become maiesiophiliacs.

The arousal caused by Maeisiophilia could possibly be attributed to the following reasons:

  1. While the woman is pregnant, men can ejaculate inside her without the problem of the woman becoming pregnant, as she already is so.
  2. Pregnant women can get more aroused than normal, so men and women may have more sexual relations than usual.
  3. A pregnant woman can be viewed as the height of femininity and eroticism (enlarged breasts and widening hips).
  4. The larger "belly". This is the most common cause of arousal.
However, many self-confessed Maeiusiophiliacs would say that they do not believe this, and that in most cases their preference is inexplicable, essentially instinctual.
