, translated to Demon Beast, is a famous term that people refer to all of the Nightmare Enterprises Monsters in the original Japanese version of the anime. There are many different types of majuu, and all of them are made by the leader of Nightmare Enterprises (Holy Nightmare Company in Japanese), the Cloaked Nightmare.

Oddly enough, the English dub calls every majuu a monster. This is one of the few mistakes in the English dub because majuu translates to Demon Beast and the people of 4Kids Entertainment mistakenly called every majuu a monster. The only majuu in the anime that did not make it to America were Noseman, Hardy, those unnamed monster spirits you see in the 2nd Japanese opening of the anime, everyone at the Majuu School, Poppy Bros. Sr., Mr. Frosty, Whiskers, Jukido, Hittei, the Devil Frog, and Heavy Anaconda.

Majuu is also a term used to describe people who are in contract with Nightmare, plus, it's even used to describe people by the way they act. For example, Knuckle Joe wasn't a majuu, but because of his highly bad temper and the way he acted when he first came to Dream Land, he was called a Majuu.

One particular internet-surfing fan of Kirby, especially in Japanese, known on the internet as Ivyna J Spyder, tends to just translate majuu to demon instead of Demon Beast. Majuu can also be translated to Demon Animal, too. Interestingly, the name Demon Animal parodies another type of monster, the Chimera Anima of Tokyo Mew Mew. Also interestingly, Majuu is also a term used to refer to some villains in Mahō Sentai Magiranger.

There are several different types of Majuu, each type corresponding to the monsters of the episodes they appear in, in chronological order. Here is a list of all these Majuu.
