Makoto Ogawa

Ogawa Makoto is a fifth generation member of Morning Musume. She joined the group in August of 2001 along with fellow fifth generation members Takahashi Ai, Niigaki Risa, and Konno Asami.
Before joining Morning Musume, Ogawa was part of a modeling agency and did several ads, including ones for automobile safety for the elderly, and was featured in magazines as a model for makeup and hair portions. She was also enrolled at a dance academy. Tsunku also commented that she was selected to join the group because she displayed great dancing skills and shined during the audition process.
Ogawa has released one solo photobook.
Ogawa will be graduating from Morning Musume on August 27, 2006 to study language abroad. She will be also leaving Hello! Project.
