Malabar Independent Syrian Church

The Malabar Independent Syrian Church (Thozhiyur Sabha) is a Church of Syriac Orthodox tradition in South India. The Church is located in Thrissur District, Kerala State. The Cathedral is at Thozhiyur, a small village near to Kunnamkulam and Guruvayur.
The current leader (Metropolitan) is Alathoor Panakkal Joseph Mar Koorilose IX since August 27, 1986.

The Church today
The Church has parishes almost in Thrissur District but also in Chennai, Coimbatore and Kochi.
