Maranello is a town in northern Italy near Modena, population about 15,000 and probably best-known as the home of Ferrari motorcars and Scuderia Ferrari, the legendary Formula One (F1) racing team. Maranello was also home to the Scaglietti carrozzeria, now owned by Ferrari.
Near Maranello is the small town of Fiorano, which where the Ferrari factory is located and where the Scuderia undertakes most of its F1 testing. The tests are performed on a private track owned by Ferrari, simply known as the "Fiorano track".
Maranello has been the location for the Ferrari factory since the company was first created from the money Enzo made during WWII by making aircraft engines and other parts in his self created company Auto-Avio Construzioni.
