Marco Biagi (November 24 1950-March 19 2002) was an Italian professor of labour law and industrial relations at the University of Modena. He was assassinated by members of the Red Brigade outside his home on March 19 2002, due to his role as an economic advisor to Roberto Maroni, a minister in Silvio Berlusconi's government. A scholarship with his name is now offered by Johns Hopkins University for study at their overseas campus in Bologna.

Five terrorists of the Red Brigades were sentenced to life terms on June 1 2005 because of this murder: Nadia Desdemona Lioce, Roberto Morandi, Marco Mezzasalma, Diana Blefari Melazzi and Simone Boccaccini.
