Married to the Sea is a webcomic by husband and wife Drew and Natalie Dee. Each has a personal webcomic project: Drew (who is known simply as Drew) is also the author of toothpaste for dinner and Natalie Dee produces [NatalieDee.com].
Married to the Sea consists of comics posted daily. Each strip is a single image and a caption. The images are monochrome Victorian lithographs and drawings taken from the public domain. Drew and Natalie Dee supply the captions.
The comic skewers Victoriana, frequently juxtaposing blithe, chaste and mundane scenes with the surreal, profane, and modern.
The first comic appeared on February 13, 2006.
