Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (born November 17, 1958 in Lombard, Illinois) is an American actress and singer.
Matrantonio is of Italian descent. She first came to prominence in her Academy Award nominated role in The Color of Money, opposite Paul Newman and Tom Cruise, eventually losing to Dianne Weist. Roles in Slam Dance, opposite Tom Hulce and The January Man opposite Kevin Kline followed before her next notable role in the James Cameron directed summer blockbuster, ''The Abyss. Her most famous role, however, was as Maid Marian in . Ironically she was a late replacement for the pregnant Robin Wright.
Married to the director Pat O'Connor, who directed her in The January Man, since 1990 and based in London she has since decided to only pick roles that interest her which gives her more time to spend with her family. As such her only high profile role since 1992's Consenting Adults was as a fisherwoman in 2000's The Perfect Storm. However she did have a recurring role during the fourth season of Without a Trace.
