Mary Jane is a song by late American funk singer Rick James. It is one one of his most famous next to his song Superfreak from his album Street Songs. He composed, performed and produced the song. it is featured on the 1995 film Friday's soundtrack. It is most likely about his love of marijuana, which he alludes to throughout the song.
