Matt Slocum

Matt Slocum (born December 27, 1972) is a guitarist, and composer. He is best known for his work with the rock band Sixpence None The Richer and for composing their hit "Kiss Me".
Slocum met vocalist Leigh Bingham Nash at a church retreat in the early 1990s. The two formed Sixpence None The Richer and recorded a demo soon after. Slocum also played in a band called Love Coma for a number of years.
In 1996, Slocum went on tour playing bass guitar for The Choir. Currently, Slocum plays bass in the band the Astronaut Pushers.
Slocum is also a respected studio guitarist and cellist, performing on albums by artists Julie Miller, Wes King, Switchfoot, Lost Dogs, The Choir, Dividing the Plunder, Threefold and others.
