Matthew David Lewis (born 27 June 1989) is an English actor, best known for playing Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films.
Biography
Lewis was born in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, to Adrian and Lynda Lewis. He has two older brothers, Chris, a television editor, and Anthony, an actor and musician, and he also has a young nephew named Aiden.Career
Lewis has been acting since he was five years old. He started off with minor parts in television programs and then tried out for the part of Neville Longbottom. He has been doing the Neville Longbottom role for five years and has said multiple times he wishes to continue all the way to the end if they let him.[[Citing sources citation needed]]Personal life
Lewis attends St Mary's Comprehensive School in Menston. He is currently studying for his A-levels and is planning to take psychology, theology, law, and English language. He enjoys reading, sports, and playing video games and is also into music, especially guitar rock.
