Max Mutchnick

Max Mutchnick is an American television producer.
Frequently working with David Kohan, Mutchnick got his start writing for game shows and The Wonder Years, and created the successful series Will & Grace with Kohan in 1998. The show ran for eight seasons and aired its series finale on May 19, 2006. He also produced and wrote for Good Morning, Miami (2002 - 2004), and produced two shows in the 2005-06 season: Twins and Four Kings, with Kohan.
He has received an Emmy award, a People's Choice Award and several Golden Globe Award nominations.
The characters of Will and Grace in the series are modeled after Mutchnick and his best friend, Janet.
He shares a production company with Kohan, KoMut, which produces Will & Grace and his and Kohan's shows.
On June 7, 2006, Emerson College, his alma matter, announced the naming of the Max Mutchnick Campus Center located at the Piano Row building on 150 Boylston Street after Mutchnick donated a major gift. [link]
