Encyclopedia : M : MA : MAX : Maxime Bossis

Maxime Bossis is a former French football player. He is mostly remembered for the loss of the last penalty in 1982 World Cup Semifinal between Germany and France, a game also remembered for the worst foul in the game history from Harald Schumacher against Patrick Battiston.

While the score was 4-4 , Bossis lost the next penalty, allowing Horst Hrubesch to score the last penalty, and with 5-4, to drive his team to the final.
