Medical technology refers to the diagnostic or therapeutic application of science and technology to improve the management of health conditions. Technologies may encompass any means of identifying the nature of conditions and intervening with devices, pharmacological, biological or other methods to increase life span and/or improve the quality of life.

Medical Technology or MedTech for short may refer to a college degree or course where a graudate becomes a medical technologist by profession or RMT (Registered Medical Technologist). Medical Technology is often referred as clinical laboratory science. This type or profession usually involves working in a hospital analyzing laboratory speciments like blood, semen, and other human secretions. Medical Technology is often taken as a pre medical course, since it's curriculum is very helpful for students who intend on taking up Medicine as a profession and becoming a doctor.
