Mednyi Island (Russian Ostrov Mednyi or "Copper Island"), sometimes called in English Copper Island, is one of two islands in the Komandorski Islands east of Russia.

The island was uninhabited until the early 20th century, when Aleuts came from Attu Island in the Aleutian Islands to Mednyi Island.

The only settlement on the island is Preobrazhenskoye.
