In Greek mythology, there were four people named Melanippus:

1. Son of Agrius, killed by Heracles.
2. Son of Perigune and Theseus.
3. Son of Astacus, defended Thebes in Seven Against Thebes. He killed Tydeus and was killed by Amphiaraus.
4. Son of Hicetaon, a Trojan prince killed by Antilochus during the Trojan War.
