Coordinates: Melhus is a municipality in the county of Sør-Trøndelag, Norway. Agriculture is important, and the extensive lowland areas in the almost flat valley near the river Gaula are dominated by grain fields. Many inabitants work in Trondheim, a 20 min drive north of Melhus.
