Meraj Muhammad Khan is political leader in Pakistan. A founding member of the Pakistan Peoples Party of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto he served as Federal minister for manpower in the first PPP government (1972-1977), falling out with Bhutto in 1975 he was arrested and imprisoned in solitary confinement till his release in 1977. He later joined the Movement for Restoration of Democracy and was a prominent democratic activist and leftist leader in the 1980's.
Meraj Muhammad Khan joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf headed by Imran Khan in 1998 but resigned from the party in 2003 citing differences with Khan.
