Meta-God

Meta-God is the final boss from the Playstation 2 RPG Shadow Hearts. It appears as a large, whitish entity of no discernable gender and features difficult to describe. It is obviously alien.

Originating from the M72 Nebula, approximately four million light years away, it came to Earth after being summoned by the sorcerer villain Albert Simon in an attempt to wipe out the world and start over again with a clean slate. It is apparently, in the Shadow Hearts universe, the being that inspired the belief in God to begin with and, throughout history, was commonly referred to as such.

Such an entity was also referred to in H.P. Lovecraft's texts, mentioning a way to summon a powerful being that swoops down from space.
