Metalworking finishing is the activity of making things out of metal in a skillful manner.

Process

Metal Working finishing is when useful and decorative objects are fashioned of various metals, including copper, iron, silver, bronze, lead, gold, and brass. The earliest man-made objects were of stone, wood, bone, and earth. It was only later that humans learned to extract metals from the earth and to hammer them into objects. Metalwork includes vessels, utensils, ceremonial and ritualistic objects.

Tools Used

It requires skill and the use of many different types of tools, including: Caliper, Countersink, Counterbore, Combination square, Cold Chisel, Doming block, File, Gauge (engineering), Hacksaw, Hammer, Height gauge, Machinist square, Pliers, Punches, Scriber, Taps and Dies, and wrenchs.
