Methionine synthase
Encyclopedia : M : ME : MET : Methionine synthase
Catalyses the conversion of homocysteine to methionine using vitamin B12 (cobolamine) as a cofactor. A B12 deficiency will lead to subsequent failure of methionine production, high levels of homocysteine and typically, megaloblastic anaemia.
