Miami was the name of two historical populated places in Erie County and Lucas County, however the exact location of both places is unknown.

While there is no longer any place in the U.S. state of Ohio known simply as Miami, the term is a part of the name of several places in Ohio:

• Miamisburg, Ohio, city in Montgomery County, several miles southwest of Dayton on the Great Miami River ([39°38′34″N, 84°17′12″W]), location of the Miamisburg Mound State Memorial
• Miamitown, Ohio, unincorporated community in Hamilton County, about 15 miles northwest of Cincinnati on the Great Miami River ([39°12′57″N, 84°42′15″W])
• Miamiville, Ohio, unincorporated community in Clermont county, northeast of Indian Hill on the Little Miami River ([39°12′45″N, 84°17′57″W])
