Mickey is a 2004 American baseball movie drama, directed by Hugh Wilson, with screenplay written by John Grisham.

Mickey was filmed in 2001, at Cove Creek Park and baseball fields in Richmond, and Petersburg, VA, and also at Little League International in South Williamsport, PA, home of the Little League Baseball World Series. Wilson and Grisham, both live near Charlottesville, VA where parts of the filming took place.

John Grisham wrote the first for Mickey already in 1995, inspired by his Little League experience as a coach.

Plot

Glen, (Harry Connick, Jr.) and his 12-year-old son Mickey (Shawn Salinas) who loves playing Little League Baseball, becomes the focus of an intensive IRS investigation. They run from the investigation, and assume new identities. Mickey's new identity makes him a year younger, which enables him to play another year in the Little League. The Little League Team plays very well, and receives attention from TV and newspapers, which makes the chances of them being caught by the IRS much bigger.
