Minamiamabe (南海部郡; Minamiamabe-gun) is a district located in Oita, Japan.
As of 2003, the district has an estimated population of 33,239 and the density of 47.09 persons per km². The total area is 705.90 km².
The district dissolved on March 3, 2005 when all of the municipalities within Minamiamabe district merged with the former city of Saeki to form the new city of Saeki.
