The Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs responsible for agricultural, food and rural affairs with Ontario. Traditionally the ministry existed to promote products grow in Ontario (via Foodland Ontario) and provide financial assistance to farms in times of need. Rural affairs was added to provide communications between the province and non-urban dwellers in the province.
The current minister is Leona Dombrowsky.
