The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (厚生労働省; Kōsei-rōdō-shōThe Japanese name for this ministry literally translates to "Province of Health And Labour". The term "province" is the Japanese equivalent of a Cabinet-level Department in western countries, and is not used as a term for subnational entities.) is one of ministries in the Japanese government. It is commonly known as Kōrō-shō (厚労省) or Kōsei-shō (厚生省) in Japan.
