Minsk Province (Belarus)

Minsk Province is a province (voblast) of Belarus. It comprises all the land surrounding the capital Minsk, which is administered separately. It is the only province of Belarus whose border is not part of the international border of Belarus. The province covers an area of 40,800 km² and has a population of 1,503,000 (2004 estimate). The administrative headquarters of the voblast are located in Minsk city.
