Mira-Bhayandar is a city and a municipal council in Thane district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census^{[Geographic references#IndiaGRIndia]}, Mira-Bhayandar had a population of 520,301. Males constitute 55% of the population and females 45%. Mira-Bhayandar has an average literacy rate of 78%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 74%. In Mira-Bhayandar, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
