Mirabile from Latin meaning wonderful or miraculous also a last name of Italian decent
Mirabile is the name of a planet, and of the fictional universe in which it is set, of Janet Kagan's. It is an Earth colony filled with genetically engineering organisms, unintended consequences (Dragon's Teeth). Stories revolve around genetic engineers (Jasons) who solve the problems of meshing Earth and Mirabile life.
