Miura (Japanese: 三浦市; -shi) is a city located in Kanagawa, Japan.
It is a city bordering the sea. It is well known for Miura Marathon which is normally held in March First Week. The race consists of three events 5 KM, 10 KM and a Half marathon. The race is tough as there are many climbs and slopes. The highest point of the race is 72 meters above sea level.
The city also incorporated the habour of Misaki, Japan's 18th most important fishing harbour, and the 2nd for its catch of tuna.
It is also the place where the English hostess Lucie Blackman was drugged, raped and killed.
